Online Event Tickets

In the interests of making our events easier to manage and book online we (the Tennis Committee) are going to trial the use of Ticket Tailor to run ticketing for the next few events, and then (if successful) the remainder of the season.

Ticket Tailor is a ticketing platform used by many organisations around the world to make it simple and affordable to manage online ticket sales – and we’ve run internal tests to make sure it’s easy to set up and use. Although there is a small fee charged to us for each transaction (from Ticket Tailor and PayPal) we have elected not to add these to the face value of the tickets, so a £10 ticket should still be £10 at checkout. The administration time we will save (we are all volunteers after all) is well worth the small fees charged and we have agreed a reduced (charity) fee scale with them.

The less time we spend chasing payments and dealing with administration is time we can spend on tennis matters and channelling those monies back to improvements on and around the courts that benefit all members.

The first event to be held with online ticketing will be the next “Meet the Sports Star” with Chris Kirkland on 9^th May. A link to that will follow later this week. We’re hoping there will be less technical issues with this roll out, but as usual please email info@ewltc.co.uk if you encounter any problems.
